    If you haven't tried Tupelo Honey at Furman University yet, you must! We started out with fried pickles. I had the shrimp & grits with goat cheese and Michael had the fried chicken with brussel sprouts & arugula salad. Both entrees were excellent! Finished off with Leopard Forest coffee and s'mores cake! Yum!!

    I can't imagine this location will be open long. My experience there as the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Server was not attentive at all, even though we told her we had tickets to a play for 8pm on campus. (6 people) Food came out extremely late. Fried chicken tasted old. Medium rare steak was extra well done. And because they were so slow, we missed the play!  We got there as it had just started and they already re-sold our tickets.  (No refunds, either.) I went back to Tupelo Honey to speak with the manager and all she wanted to do was complain about how she was having problems there. Wrong!  After serious argument, she refunded our money. I sent a note to corporate about the situation and never got a response!  Will never go back to any of their locations. They obviously don't care about their customers.

    Went in on Valentines Day. Our waitress was distracted and obviously arguing with another waitress, who was crying, the manager was busy mediating their argument, none of them were giving their customers half of their attention. The portion for the Valentines Day special was smaller than expected and the green beans were undercooked. I realize this is a campus restaurant, but I expected more based on experiences with other locations. Went back yesterday, the waitress that we'd had on Valentine's Day is now a manager. She was training someone on how to use their POS system at an adjacent computer. She didn't say anything to us while we waited to be seated, nor did the 3 other people who walked by, for an extended period. We walked out. Will not go back.
